Join us on a geology walk and observe the different types of rock formations along the Walkerville coastline.  Following morning tea, an introduction to local geology and distribution of notes, we will walk south along the beach stopping to explore several points of interest.  Carry water and either lunch or a snack.

Bring hat and sunscreen and wear sturdy enclosed footwear suitable for walking on sand and possibly on rocks and in shallow water. 

The inspiration for this excursion was the recent publication of the booklet Walkerville Costal Geology.  (Copies will be available at the excursion for optional purchase - $10 cash).  Brief notes from a similar excursion in 2010 will be available.

Meet at 10.45 am at the Walkerville Community Hall (84 Bayside Drive) at Walkerville North.
